- Bibliz Notables is a web-based, 'Limited Open Content' Who's Who Biography project.
- The name Bibliz is a portmanteau and broadly signifies the words 'authoritative' and 'future'. At least that's our intention; to be an authentic who's who resource that would become an influential web tool! Besides Bibliz entries provide links to guide users to external related pages (typically Wikipedia) for convenient additional information. Though we have no control over the external links, we strive to maintain Bibliz biographical data the latest and accurate. That's exactly why we follow our self-declared limited open content neologism by restricting direct editing by volunteers; so no vandalism, susceptibility or insertion of false information. That said biographies sometimes suffer from significant omissions and this does not always happen. Bibliz Notables is run as a internaly supervised effort. Nevertheless it is on the whole a global project whose result is a crisp communal biographical index. Feedback about our content is very important and so we have an established escalation-and-dispute process. You are invited to be bold and send us information or correct mistakes always.
- The world needs a trustworthy free who's who. We aim to create that by providing a responsibly governed process. Bibliz Notables is essentialy run as a public service mission with non-corporate vibe. Bibliz portal is not a fluid or multi-player forum and our editorial control is strict with real accountability. The goal of Bibliz Notables is to provide easy access to people's achievements, for people all over the world - free of charge, there by energizing this planet. Imagine a world in which every single person's achivements and/or talents are recorded and given free access! Server rentals, development, admin, bandwidth and content personnels are all ongoing costs. So we need sponsors to sustain this important work. Given the massive task ahead, it is dependent on your help to do that.
